Men → Beginners / Using for the First Time

When starting Mugdar training, follow this order:

Shape → Handle → Weight → Finish (Polish Type) i.e. (SHWP)

(A) Shape of Mugdar

Always choose a Traditional Shape Mugdar.

(B) Handle Type

Beginners should always start with a Large Handle.

(C) Weight Selection

Age 13–18

  • Weight: 3 kg (single or pair)

Age 19–35

  • Weight: 5 kg (single or pair)

Age 35+

  • Weight: 3 kg (single or pair)

(D) Polished, Non-Polished, or Partial-Polished Mugdar ?

This depends on how much time you have for maintenance.

Non-Polished Mugdar

Best if you can take care of your Mugdar regularly.

Needs oiling at regular intervals depending on climate changes,usage e.t.c.

Full Polished Mugdar

Best for people who want zero maintenance.

  • No need to oil
  • Ready to use
  • Low maintenance

Problem:
Handle becomes slippery during swings.

Partial Polished Mugdar (Best Practical Option)

Perfect balance of grip + low maintenance.

  • Body polished → looks premium
  • Handle non-polished → strong, non-slip grip
  • Safe for beginners
  • Better than full polish for swing control
